Technology converges on what it can do. What is left is how it feels. For fourteen years at Samsung Electronics, Yoonji (Grace) Kim decided that — the colour, the material, the finish. At Multiful she holds AI products to the same standard.
How things should feel
She joined Samsung in 2012 as an industrial designer and spent most of the next fourteen years in colour, material and finish (CMF) — the discipline that decides what a product is made of, how its surfaces meet the light, and what it feels like under the hand. Her work runs through Samsung's BESPOKE, Infinite Line and Chef Collection kitchens, and the Galaxy A55 and A35.
She founded Multiful to ask the same question of software. An AI product has no surface to touch, but it still has a feel — its tone, its pace, what it chooses to show and what it leaves out. That is the part she designs.
